About Us
Freakshop began in the Spring of 1995 when my friend and I were talking about the upcoming Woodstock Festival and discussing which band T-shirts to bring. We were rifling through all the many shirts that we had, and my friend mentioned that even hippie chicks will overpack. I told her that we could make a living selling all these shirts, and we decided that it actually sounded like a great idea. Woodstock was a great place to start. We were there with you!
We immediately hooked up with some suppliers of great licensed merchandise, and got a line on some unique items from some smaller manufacturers and suppliers. We had a great assortment of stuff, and did the whole festival thing with our van full of cool things to sell. Needless to say, we were well received, and everyone loved our line of goods. We were having a hard time keeping up with all the orders, as we were still working from a van. We needed to grow.
Our website was born shortly thereafter, and we keep adding more great stuff all the time. We have an awesome assortment of band and entertainment T-shirts, tapestries, decals, body jewelry, crib supplies, and other cool stuff.
